Another big improvement coming to Emory Village coming March 24 and 25 was announced by Mark Goldman. Trees Atlanta will be planting 11 trees in the Village. Five of these will replace four dead and dying trees and one tree stump, all of which must first be removed. Quite generously, Emory University and its head of landscaping Jimmy Powell and his staff will be removing these, saving EVA considerably. Then Trees Atlanta, will plant the 11 trees. They offered to plant three more trees — adjacent to Savi Provisions — but the property owner rejected this offer. Trees Atlanta is paying for the trees and their planting; consequently, all of is being donated to EVA at no cost."
